Monument National Monument or more popularly abbreviated by the name of Monas or Monas Monument is also a memorial that has a height of 132 meters or 433 feet that have been established to be able to commemorate the resistance and struggle for the people of Indonesia to seize a freedom from the hands of the colonial government of the Indies Dutch at the time. The construction of this national monument was started on 17 August 1961 under the order of President Sukarno and was opened to the public on July 12, 1975.
