Balean Dadas Dance, Dayak Tribe Dance in Central Kalimantan
Balean Dadas dance is a traditional dance of Dayak tribe in Central Kalimantan. In traditional societies, there are many ways to gain happiness, health, and wealth through the cultural traditions of the local people. One of the ways in which the Dayak people of Central Kalimantan seek to bless God, one of them is to ask for healing to God by performing a dance called Balean Dadas.
Dance Balean Dadas is a cultural dance to ask for healing to god for people who are sick. The Balean Dadas dancers are usually wearing customary Dayak custom clothing such as black, white, red, green, and also yellow to invoke healing to Ranying Hatala sky or God for those who are sick. It is also usually a female dukun or Balean Dadas participated in this dance.
Currently, Balean Dadas dances are mostly performed during welcoming or inauguration events. It is given that with the modernity of the healing process can be done in a more scientific way. But Balean Dadas dance activity is still done by Dayak tribe community inland.
