Salai Jin Dance, Mystical Dance From Ternate North Maluku



Salai Jin Dance is one of the traditional dances originating from Ternate, North Maluku Province. This dance is full of magical values and is a dance of ethnic indigenous Ternate. The core of this dance is a message from the supernatural beings in the form of the Jin's creature.

In ancient times, this Salai Jin Dance was worn by the ancestors of the Ternate people to communicate with the Jin people in the unseen world.
